In 2005 the University Choir of Pardubice celebrated 55 years from its
foundation. Regarding this jubilee, the choir was under the auspices of the
Czech Commission for the UNESCO.
In July 2005 the choir travelled overseas and undertook a tour of Canada, performing several concerts in the cities of Toronto and Montreal. The VUS also successfully participated in the Festival 500 in St.John´s, Newfoundland.
Since its foundation in 1950 the VUS is resident at the Faculty of Chemical Technology of the University of Pardubice.
